The call for more public sessions follows a major nationwide survey of which found that nearly half of councils believed that checks on local decision makers were weak.

Conservatives in the Penn and Merry Hill areas of Wolverhampton have welcomed figures from local Police showing lower levels of crime in the area over the Christmas period. The figures were revealed at this week's meeting of the Penn-Merry Partners and Community Together.
